Statement From A.G. Schneiderman On The State Of The State Address

ALBANY -- Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today issued the following statement regarding Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's State of the State address:

“This is an exciting moment of opportunity for our state. By working together, we can restore confidence in the fairness of our criminal justice system while making all New Yorkers safer, rein in the corrupting influence of money in politics, invest in our infrastructure to create jobs, and make sure that all New Yorkers get a fair shot by raising wages for the lowest-paid workers and expanding opportunities for immigrants to pursue higher education. In today’s State of the State speech, Governor Cuomo laid out important steps to achieve many of these goals. I look forward to working with the governor and all of our state’s leaders to make New York safer and stronger for all our communities.”
