STATEMENT FROM A.G. SCHNEIDERMAN ON THE PASSING OF SHIMON PERES
NEW YORK—Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued the following statement:
“Today I join those across the world mourning the loss of Shimon Peres. He was one of the finest statesmen and leaders we will ever see—a tireless warrior who helped establish the Israeli state and create the unbreakable bond forged with the United States. But what I admire most about President Peres were his determined efforts at achieving peace and understanding, no matter the circumstances or the odds. As we search for common understanding and reconciliation through our present conflicts, let us use his eternal optimism and hopefulness as our guiding light.”
