NEW YORK – Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman released the following statement today in commemoration of Labor Day:
“On this Labor Day, we honor the immeasurable contributions of this nation’s working men and women. I am proud to stand with workers fighting for better wages, safer working conditions and critical benefits which strengthen the security and prosperity of all our citizens. While we have made significant progress in securing stronger protections for workers, our work is far from finished. Whether battling against wage theft, working to ensure more reliable scheduling or calling for a real, livable wage, I will continue to fight alongside New Yorkers for dignity, respect and fairness in the workplace.”
